So the whole story is I was offered a chance to video a friends wedding who was on a very limited budget a perfect opportunity to spread my wings and see if I can fly. I have turned down other weddings because I always feel like my equipment is sub-par which for weddings it is.
With my first wedding under the belt I can safely say I hope I never do another without a second camera that is just a must have to help with those moments when you must move the camera to keep things interesting but you sorta bump the tripod and are left with 3 seconds of ceiling... you can only put in b-roll of the pianist so many times!
Like I said I had a lot of fun and the project turned out super cool the couple loved the DVD's I gave them especially all the outtakes and things they didn't get to see. I added a personal touch and created a simple DVD cover for the couple I used stock photos for the background, and arranged their wedding photos. Professional color printing was very cheap, and I can't tell you how good that case turned out! When I handed them their copies I could tell they were a little taken back, and now I have extra I can use for samples to get future clients money very well spent.
